The Property Ombudsman
The scheme provides an independent and impartial facility for the resolution of complaints between those members of the public who buy, sell or let property and the agents they deal with, member agents have to comply with a code of conduct. As members of the scheme the public can be confident about the firms approach and where, if they feel disadvantaged they have access to independent judgment of their complaint.
The Property Ombudsman provides a free, fair and independent service for dealing with unresolved disputes between sales and letting agents who have joined the TPO and consumers who are actual or potential buyers or sellers or landlords or tenants of residential property in the UK.
